Our History

History of Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc.

Since its inception in 2001, Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc. (AHSC) has worked with its strategic partners Peabody Properties, Inc. (PPI) and Peabody Resident Services, Inc. (PRSI) in various capacities to develop and preserve affordable housing, as well as seek funding to support on-site resident programming. After a decade of participating in a successful portfolio of over 15 projects, the Board of Directors recognized the need for a full-time executive director to manage the day-to-day operations of the organization, as well as develop a plan to build upon its past success and further AHSC’s mission.

In early 2013, after deliberating on potential candidates that would be suitable as executive director, AHSC’s Board of Directors interviewed and hired Michael Mattos for the position. Michael has over a decade of significant and relevant affordable housing experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors. In addition to his credentials, he is well-respected by his peers and by other professionals within the professional affordable housing community.

AHSC is proud of its past and excited for its future as we seek new opportunities to further our mission to provide and preserve quality affordable housing, and support programming and services for residents.
