FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The Supportive Veterans Housing Community, Valley Brook Village, now home to 62 homeless veterans, in Lyons, New Jersey was officially opened today, October 30, 2013, with a ribbon cutting and recognition ceremony.Valley Brook Village is a first of its kind VASH (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing) housing community for homeless veterans, located on the Lyons Campus of the Department of Veterans Affairs New Jersey Health Care System in Lyons, New Jersey. Residential buildings are configured to create a village-style setting on 16+ acres. The community features sixty-two 1&2 bedroom apartment homes with common space offering a vocational training and computer center, fitness studio, community room and supportive service office located in the main  building. Peabody Properties will manage this new Veteran’s community with on-site counselors to aid veterans with programs such as crisis intervention, job training, work readiness programs, physical health care, and community building activities.

A partnership of Peabody Properties, Inc., Windover Construction, LLC, Community Hope, Inc. and Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc. developed Valley Brook Village.
