FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Today the AHSC Board of Directors hired Michael J. Mattos as their new Executive Director. Mr. Mattos has over 10 years of experience in affordable housing, non-profit management, as well as community and economic development. Before joining AHSC, Mr. Mattos served as the Director of Real Estate Development for the Taunton Housing Authority where he oversaw the development of a HOPE VI project. Mr. Mattos was also an Associate Development Director for EA Fish Development and Peabody Properties, Inc., where he worked on various affordable housing developments, and was the former Community Development Director for the City of Taunton where he oversaw the CDBG and HOME entitlement program funds.  Mr. Mattos will begin his new position on May 6, 2013.
